Another semi-permanent journey..

This time, I have moved - furniture, car and all - to Little Rock, AR. Yes, go on, smirk at it....! I had my doubts about this place before i moved here - but, having spent almost 2 months here, I can safely say that it is a really nice city. It helps that the people here are super nice (as i have found in almost all the southern states i have traveled in), and that i have a fantastic condo overlooking the river and downtown. The most amazing thing about this place is the enormous number of really nice (non-chain) restaurants that exists here in this city. I have yet to have a disappointing meal. Of course, food plays an important role in my life (as you may have noticed from my traveling log.. its all about the food) and that makes LR livable for me.

Why semi-permanent? Well, much as I like this place and can actually see myself living here, I am not going to fight real hard to stay here if (and I am sure I will) have other choices. With the Verizon-Alltel merger, who knows where work will take me. Wherever it does, i hope its good, and it better be permanent! Don't get me wrong, I'd love to travel around and experience different places... but I am longing for a home, so i can finally build my dream kitchen and furnish with all the stuff i have wanted but keep putting off .. (like a home theater with big screen and projector!)
